Vol. 92 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Facilities at Glasnevin.

Mr. O'Sullivan

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is now prepared to proceed with the erection of a telephone kiosk adjacent to Cremore Park, Glasnevin, and also the extension of the service generally in the Dublin Central City area.

Owing to shortage of construction stores, there can, I regret, be no general resumption of provision of telephone kiosks at present. The supply position permits consideration only of cases in which the circumstances are very exceptional.

As regards the Cremore Park district, there are two existing kiosks within reasonable distance and the circumstances do not warrant the erection of an additional kiosk in the area in present conditions. The matter will, however, be reviewed as soon as the supply position improves.
