Vol. 94 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment for Kildare Turbary.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state when it is proposed to pay compensation to Mr. P. Reddy, Grangehiggin, Kilmeague, Naas, in respect of turbary which was acquired from him by the Turf Development Board.

Compensation for the year 1944, in respect of lands of which possession has been taken by Emergency Powers Order for turbary purposes, is at present being assessed, and the case referred to by the Deputy will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When is this man likely to receive compensation? He is in pretty poor circumstances.

I could not say any more definitely than I have said. The case will be dealt with as soon as possible.
