Vol. 95 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding of Mayo River.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that great hardship has been caused to the tenants of Thallabawn, Louisburgh, County Mayo, owing to the flooding of the Thallabawn River; if he is further aware that officials of the Land Commission have on various occasions inspected the scene of the flooding but that nothing has been done to give these tenants relief; and if he will now take steps to have this flooding relieved.

The question of what, if any, steps the Land Commission can take to relieve the tenants affected by the flooding of the Thallabawn River is at present under consideration. As soon as a decision is reached I shall inform the Deputy.
