Vol. 95 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Petrol for Commercial Travellers.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will make provision for granting a supply of petrol to commercial travellers.

The Minister regrets he is not in a position to allocate a supply of petrol for the use of commercial travellers.

Is the Minister aware that the question of commercial travelling is very important at the present time? It is a means of connecting the wholesale with the retail trade and giving a more equitable distribution of various kinds of goods. I suggest to the Minister that it is a service that should not be forgotten in the distribution of future petrol supplies.

The Deputy may take it that the Minister is making the best use possible of whatever petrol he has at his disposal.
