Vol. 96 No. 10

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Red Cross Hospital French Unit.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether he is in a position to state if a definite date has been fixed for the despatch to France of the Irish Red Cross Hospital unit; whether arrangements have been made with the French Government for its reception and the allocation of its duties in France; and whether, if a definite date for departure has not yet been fixed, he can state when the unit may be expected to leave.

The French Government have expressed their warm appreciation of the offer of the Red Cross and have accepted it. I understand that the Red Cross Society will soon be in a position to give information on the points of detail mentioned in the Deputy's question.
