Vol. 98 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tolka Riverside Walk.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether plans for a proposed riverside walk and park along the River Tolka between Moibhi Road and Richmond Road have been submitted to his Department by the Dublin Corporation, and if he can state when the plans are likely to be approved and the work put in hands.

Proposals for the provision of a riverside walk along the River Tolka from Distillery Road to Drumcondra Bridge were approved in July, 1944. The estimated cost was £12,500. When these proposals were originally submitted they were accompanied by a sketch plan of a contemplated extension of the riverside walk as far as Finglas. It may be concluded that the further section was not intended to be proceeded with until the section approved of has been undertaken. In any case detailed proposals for the section referred to by the Deputy have not yet been received in my Department.
