Vol. 98 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Superphosphate Prices.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state with reference to superphosphate: (a) the cause of delay in publishing price lists; and (b) whether he intends to continue control for the coming season.

There has been no available delay in issuing the wholesale price lists this year. In fact the lists have been issued three weeks in advance of last year. The retail price of 30 per cent. superphosphate will be £10 10s. 0d. per ton. As it is anticipated that additional quantities will be available this season, I have decided to relax the control of distribution.

The Minister is satisfied that supplies will be adequate to meet the demands?

I hope they will.
