Vol. 100 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Definition of Plots.

asked the Minister for Lands whether tenants on the estate of Laurence Buckley, at Munard, Duagh, who were supplied, about nine years ago, with maps of bog plots allotted to them at Knockalougha, Knocknagoshel, on the Nash Estate, can now have their plots defined; or, alternatively, if plots could be provided for such small holders on the bog which the county council has vacated in the district.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission had under consideration the provision, for tenants of the Buckley Estate, of turbary on the holding of Mrs. Jane Enright at Knockalougha but proceedings had to be discontinued as it was found that the turbary had already been distributed by the owner of the holding. Alternative arrangements to provide these tenants with bog plots are at present being sought.
