Vol. 100 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fixing of Wool Prices.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that over four weeks ago an application was made to his Department to have fixed the selling price of a quantity of Argentine two-ply "Merrywool" delivered to a Dublin merchant on 5th April; that such price has not yet been fixed; if he will cause such price to be fixed without further delay; and if he will state the cause of the delay.

An Order fixing maximum prices for "Merrywool" two-ply knitting wool was made on April 25th. Having regard to the need to check figures of cost and other particulars supplied by the importing agent, I am satisfied there was no undue delay in dealing with the matter.
