Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Expenditure on Drainage Schemes.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what progress has been made, to date, with the preparation of drainage schemes under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, and if he will further state the total sum it is contemplated will be expended under this Act during the present financial year.

No expenditure is contemplated on arterial drainage works during the present financial year.

Various stages have been reached in the preparation of schemes under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, for the following catchment areas:—Brosna, Glyde, Dee, Feale, Maine, Lee (Co. Kerry) and Akeragh Lough-Banna.
