Vol. 102 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kildare School.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware of the overcrowded condition of the national school at Rathcoffey, Donadea, County Kildare; whether it is proposed to extend the school; and if so, when the work will be commenced.

I am aware that Scoil Mochua, Rathcoffey, is overcrowded. A scheme for the enlargement of the school has been prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works and my Department is in correspondence with the manager on the matter. It is not at present possible to say when the work will be commenced; but the additional accommodation will be provided as soon as possible.

Would the Minister say whether tenders have been invited for the work?

Not yet.
