Vol. 103 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Control of Apple Prices.

Mr. Corish

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is prepared to control the retail price of home-grown apples.

I have had investigations made into the prices charged for apples and have decided that, apart from the practical difficulties of applying an effective system of price regulation to these goods, it is unnecessary to attempt it in the circumstances of this year.
