Vol. 104 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Committee.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he has yet appointed the consultative committee provided for under Section 10 of the Forestry Act, 1946; and if so, whether he will state the names of the persons appointed to serve on the committee with the qualifications of each member.

The Order bringing the Forestry Act, 1946, into operation is deferred pending the completion of regulations to be issued under the Act. That work is in hand and there will be no avoidable delay. The establishment of the committee mentioned by the Deputy cannot take place meantime.
