Vol. 104 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Pension Claim.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that Private Thomas O'Connor (E/420663), St. Francis Terrace, Athlone, who was discharged from the Army as medically unfit, after serving one year and 135 days, has been refused a pension, although he has certificates from various doctors that he is unfit for work; and if he is prepared to consider this case under the 1946 Act.

I am aware that No. E/420663, Private Thomas O'Connor, St. Francis Terrace, Athlone, has been refused a pension under the Army Pensions Acts. I regret, however, that there are no provisions in those Acts under which the claim could be reconsidered.
