Vol. 105 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Commission Payments.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that Mr. David Fitzgerald, Loughlohery, Cahir, County Tipperary, has received a final notice, dated 25th March, 1947, demanding the sum of £7 19s. 6d. under Land Purchase Account No. 3, Reference 7/28/21114; that he has no knowledge that he owes this money to the Land Commission and no information of the matter in respect of which the demand is made; if he will state the grounds upon which the demand for this amount is made on Mr. Fitzgerald; and if he will stay any proceedings until the matter has been investigated.

The notice in question was issued in-advertently through a clerical error. A letter withdrawing the notice and expressing regret has been sent by the Land Commission to Mr. Fitzgerald. I also wish to add my own expression of regret for the error.
