Vol. 107 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Claremorris Post Office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state what progress has been made, since 26th February, 1947, in the direction of providing a new post office at Claremorris.

I recognise that the existing accommodation at Claremorris Post Office is inadequate and the question of improvement has been receiving close attention during recent months. Some substantial time must necessarily elapse before satisfactory permanent accommodation can be provided, but arrangements are being made for a temporary extension of the present premises to meet the most pressing needs and I am endeavouring to have the work expedited as much as possible.
