asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state when it is proposed to establish the Committee of the Dáil to consider political broadcasts, to which he referred in reply to a question on March 10th; and if pending examination of the matter by the proposed Committee it is proposed to make any change in this regard in the policy of Radio Éireann.

I am in communication with the Ceann Comhairle with a view to having this matter discussed in a suitable Committee of the Dáil and I have inquired whether the Committee on Procedure and Privileges would be prepared to deal with it. Pending such discussion it is not proposed to make any change in the existing Radio Éireann policy regarding political broadcasts.
