Vol. 110 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Living Wage for Average Family.

asked the Taoiseach if he will appoint a commission to report as to what weekly wage would, in their opinion, constitute a living wage for an average family, having regard to modern accepted standards of housing accommodation, nutrition, clothing, education, recreation and other normal elements of frugal comfort.

I shall submit the suggestion contained in the Deputy's question for consideration by the Cabinet Economic Committee.
