Vol. 110 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cement Supplies Priority.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will issue priority certificates for the purchase of cement to the holders of approval certificates under the Housing Acts for erection of new dwellings or the reconstruction of old dwellinghouses, and if this concession will also be extended to landowners engaged in farm improvements schemes.

Regarding cement for houses which are subsidised under the Housing Acts, I refer the Deputy to the replies which were given to questions on this subject on the 9th and 11th March last.

Special facilities for the purchase of cement are given also for work financed under farm improvements schemes and for all kinds of building work (including the reconstruction of old dwellinghouses) which are carried on under authority of a building licence.
