Vol. 110 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Nolan Estate (Loughrea).

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the reasons for the delay in preparing and putting into operation a scheme for the division of the estate of Colonel A. B. Nolan, Record No. S.4970, Castledaly, Loughrea, County Galway, which was acquired by his Department in 1937; further, if he will state how many such schemes have been prepared and subsequently rejected by his Department.

The scheme for the division of the estate of Irish Land Commission (formerly Colonel A. B. Nolan), Record No. S.4970, County Galway, involves proceedings for the exchange of certain registered holdings and difficulties in connection with these exchanges arose as a result of which the purchase of other registered lands is involved. Due to these difficulties, operation of the scheme has been delayed. Investigations are proceeding and the matter will be expedited as much as possible.
