Vol. 110 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Bus Service.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that the residents of Ballingarry, Feenagh and Kilmeedy, County Limerick, live from six to eight miles from the nearest railway station and if, having regard to this inconvenience, he will direct Córas Iompair Éireann to provide a bus service from Limerick at least twice weekly.

I am informed that there has never been a bus service to these areas. I do not consider that I would be justified in asking Córas Iompair Éireann to examine the possibility of providing a new bus service while I know that they are not yet in a position to restore certain of the services which were withdrawn during the emergency.
