Vol. 110 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Increased Creamery Butter Ration.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, in view of the expansion reported in milk supplies to creameries, consequent on the better weather conditions prevailing during this spring as compared with the spring of 1947, an increase of the creamery butter ration may be anticipated.

Whilst there has been some increase in creamery butter production in recent months as compared with the corresponding period of last year, I do not anticipate that production during the current production year will be sufficient to permit of an increase in the present ration of creamery butter.
