Vol. 110 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New Courthouse at Navan.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether proposals for the erection of a new courthouse at Navan were received in his Department from the Meath County Council, and, if so, when sanction will be granted for these proposals.

Mr. Murphy

The provision of courthouse accommodation is joined with the provision of additional offices for the county council. There has been considerable correspondence between the Department and the county council and also between the Department of Justice and the county registrar in relation to the type and extent of accommodation required. The Department of Justice has suggested to the county registrar that consultations should take place with the various interests with a view to reaching agreement.
