Vol. 111 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Pigs.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, having regard to the present cost of suitable feeding stuffs, he will sanction the payment of £9 per cwt. by wholesalers to pig producers with a view to increasing pig production.

If the price mentioned is a dead weight price, it is less than the market price now being paid, which is 190/- per cwt., and which is, in my opinion, reasonable in present circumstances.
