Vol. 111 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Excursion Trains.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will consider directing Córas Iompair Éireann to run excursion trains on Sunday and Wednesday of each week from Tralee to Fenit for the convenience of parents and children who otherwise cannot reach the seaside.

The passenger services on this branch railway line were discontinued in 1934 under the authority of an Order made under Section 9 of the Railway Act, 1933. I am informed by Córas Iompair Éireann that their summer omnibus time table provides for certain services on weekdays and Sundays between Tralee and Fenit.
