Vol. 111 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Sewerage Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state what progress has been made with the Bally-boden sewerage scheme since its approval last September.

The acceptance of a tender for the carrying out of the scheme was approved on the 10th January last, and work on the contract was begun in March.

It is understood from the Dublin County Council that the work is well advanced and that it should be completed in about six or eight weeks.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether he has received any proposals for a water and sewerage scheme for Rockbrook and Whitechurch; and, if so, when it is likely that the scheme will be undertaken.

No proposals for the provision of water supplies to Rockbrook and Whitechurch have been made to the Department, but I understand that they are under consideration. The provision of water-borne sewerage facilities in these localities must await the installation of piped water supplies.
