Vol. 113 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Office of Public Works Employees.

asked the Minister for Finance if he can state when a decision may be expected on a claim submitted on the 15th June, 1948, by the Workers' Union of Ireland for improved rates of wages and conditions of employment for employees of the Office of Public Works in the Phoenix Park and St. Stephen's Green, Dublin.

A decision on the claim mentioned may be expected at a very early date.

Would the Minister take steps to see that that decision is reached as soon as possible as five months have been lost already and there are men working for £3 a week in semi-State employment beside men who are earning £5 16s. a week?

And the Labour Party are as quite as mice.

Will the funny man shut up some time?

The Deputy can expect a decision within a few weeks.
