Vol. 113 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin County Council Overseers.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether the recent increase for Dublin County Council overseers has been sanctioned as recommended by the acting county manager.

Mr. Murphy

There is no application for sanction to an actual increase in wages for road overseers, but a proposal to pay a weekly allowance of 12/6 to cover the cost of travelling has been received. The whole question of road workers' wages is under active consideration, and when it is disposed of the question of travelling expenses will be considered.
