asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that there are a large number of uneconomic holdings in County Dublin and also conacre farmers; and, if so, whether he will state the acreage of land the Land Commission will divide during the coming year and where this land is situated.

It is not possible to say what lands may be divided in County Dublin in the near future. There is on hands an area of over 400 acres and further estates and holdings are noted for early inquiry involving an area of approximately 4,700 acres. The claims of uneconomic holders and of the other classes referred to will be duly considered in connection with the division of any lands acquired. Every effort will be made to expedite as far as possible the preparation of division schemes.
In view of the fact that the present holders of divided land in County Dublin are expected and have been expected for a number of years to live on holdings which are totally uneconomic because of their small size, and in view of the situation which has been created by the difficulty of getting conacre at present, will the Minister pay special attention to County Dublin, which has received much less attention, so far as land division is concerned, than any other county in Ireland and which requires it much more?
