Vol. 114 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Nationality Act Orders.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state why the Government in making Orders under the Irish Nationality Act of 1935 has not imposed the same onerous obligations on the enjoyment of reciprocal benefits by British citizens resident here as are imposed by the British Government on Irish citizens in Britain.

It is not clear what onerous obligations the Deputy has in mind. British citizens resident here are subject, in every appropriate case, to the same obligations as our own citizens.
