Vol. 116 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Old Age and Blind Pensions.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if home assistance is now regarded as means when determining applications for old age pensions and blind pensions.

Home assistance, if paid in cash, is now, and always has been, regarded as means in determining questions of entitlement to old age and blind pensions. I am not, however, satisfied with this practice and am having the whole matter reexamined.
