asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has received representations concerning the refusal of Irish paper and paper-bag manufacturers to supply, on wholesale terms, new firms desiring to trade in these commodities; and, if so, whether he has taken any action on such representations.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New Firms' Supplies of Paper and Paper Bags.
The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part of the question, all the cases reported were taken up with the trade associations concerned which were not prepared to facilitate new entrants. These cases will not be overlooked in the consideration of restrictive trade practices to which I have referred in my replies to other questions in the Dáil.
