Vol. 120 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Howth Main Drainage.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (a) the approximate date on which it is intended to commence work on the Howth main drainage (outfall sewer) scheme, and (b) the probable time required for the completion of the scheme, and, further, if he will make a general statement as to the position of the scheme and the works consequential thereon.

The Howth outfall sewerage scheme has recently been the subject of a public inquiry, and I hope in a few weeks' time to be in a position to give my decision on the evidence taken at the inquiry. I shall then be glad to make a statement if the Deputy will put down a question on the matter.
