Vol. 120 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Travelling Creamery Stops.

Mr. Murphy

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that farmers in the townland of Rangaroe, Coomhola, Bantry, have to travel a long distance to meet the travelling creamery; and, if so, whether he will request the Dairy Disposal Board to sanction a stop at Rangaroe Gross for the convenience of these people.

I am informed by the Dairy Disposal Company that the farmers in the townland of Rangaroe are not obliged to travel unduly long distances to the existing travelling creamery stops at Borlin and Coomhola, and that it would be quite impracticable for the travelling creamery, which caters not only for these but for two other stops, to cope with an additional stop at Rangaroe.

Mr. Murphy

If I give the Minister some more details about this matter, would he be prepared to have it reexamined?

I shall gladly discuss the matter with the Deputy and examine any other particulars he may have in his possession.

Mr. Murphy

Thank you very much.
