Vol. 121 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road Improvements.

Mr. Murphy

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received an application, submitted on behalf of Mr. Bernard McCarthy, Kealties, Durrus, Bantry, County Cork, regarding improvements to a road under the rural improvements scheme; and, if so, if he will state whether inspection has taken place and what action his Department propose to take in the matter.

An application under the rural improvements scheme for the improvement of a road in the Kealties area was recently received from three landholders, of whom one is Mr. Bernard McCarthy. The work will be inspected as early as possible and, if found suitable for execution under the scheme, an offer of a grant will in due course be issued to the applicants.

Mr. Murphy

Is the Parliamentary Secretary in a position to say now when the inspection will take place?

As early as possible.
