Vol. 124 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Extra Rations for Turf Workers.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will consider giving extra rations of tea, sugar and flour to workers engaged in the production of hand-won turf in County Donegal.

All wage earners employed on heavy manual work, including turf production, are granted supplementary allowances of flour if they apply for them. I can find no reason for making the special additional concessions to turf workers suggested by the Deputy.
