Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Wexford Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will consider the propriety of taking over the White estate, Ballywater, and Ballinoulart, Gorey, County Wexford, and of dividing it amongst small holders and agricultural workers who are in need of land, in view of the fact that the owner is residing in America.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of this estate, but they are having inquiries made.

asked the Minister for Lands if the forestry division will consider the propriety of taking over Gibbet Hill, Corah, Bunclody, County Wexford, for the planting of trees.

The forestry division is negotiating for the purchase of the greater portion of Gibbet Hill and expects to issue definite offers to the owners at an early date.
