Vol. 125 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Employment Schemes.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amounts spent in County Roscommon in each financial year from 1940 to 1951 on minor relief schemes, special employment works and bog development schemes.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

N.B.—The figures for 1950/51 are subject to final audit and check.

I asked a very simple question on the 18th April last on the subject of paymasters for these works. The reply I got was very unsatisfactory from my point of view and I propose to raise this matter on the Adjournment, whenever the Ceann Comhairle can arrange it — on Tuesday if necessary.
