Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arbitration Award and Army and Garda Pay.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when effect will be given to the recommendations of the arbitration board which recently held an inquiry into the pay of civil servants and also whether and, if so, when the Garda Síochána and other State employees will be given corresponding increases in pay and allowances.

asked the Minister for Finance if it is proposed to implement the arbitration award to the Civil Service as approved by the previous Government.

asked the Minister for Finance if it is proposed to increase the pay and remuneration of Army and Garda personnel on the basis approved by the previous Government.

I propose, with your permission, a Chinn Chomhairle, to take Questions Nos. 11, 12 and 13 together.

I intend, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to make a statement in the House to-day on the subject of the award of the Civil Service Arbitration Board and on the pay of the Army and Garda Síochána.
