Vol. 126 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Surcharge.

asked the Minister for Health whether a memorandum has been received in his Department from the resident medical superintendent, Killarney District Mental Hospital, appealing against a surcharge imposed on him by the Kerry County Manager; and, if so, if he will state whether a decision has been reached in the matter and the nature of the decision.

An appeal has been received under Section 10 (2) of the Local Government Act, 1941, against an order made by the Killarney mental hospital authority in connection with the charges to be made in respect of certain commodities and services supplied to the resident medical superintendent. The information necessary to enable the matter to be dealt with has now been received from the mental hospital authority and I hope to give a decision at an early date.
