Vol. 126 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clontarf Telephone and Postal Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the necessity for a telephone kiosk and a letter box on Castle Avenue, Clontarf, near Blackheath Park; and, if so, whether he will have them erected at an early date.

There are at present three telephone kiosks in this district, one on Vernon Avenue, situated about a quarter of a mile from the junction of Blackheath Park and Vernon Avenue; one on Oulton Road, less than a quarter of a mile from the lower part of Castle Avenue; and the third beside the junction of Castle Avenue and Howth Road. I regret that another kiosk near Blackheath Park would not be warranted.

I am arranging to provide a letter box in the Castle Avenue-Blackheath Park area as soon as possible.
