asked the Minister for Lands whether it is correct that the Land Commission, prior to the erection of new houses, do not give notice to or seek the consent of the local town-planning authority; and, if so, if he will arrange in future that such consent be first obtained.

The Town Planning Acts are not binding on the Land Commission but, nevertheless, the Land Commission consult with the town-planning authority in any case where it is considered that their proposals might affect the plans of the authority. It is proposed to continue that practice.
