Vol. 127 No. 1

Questions— Written Answers. - Visit of E.C.A. Survey Team.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state whether notice was given by his Department to the owners or management of those concerns which the E.C.A. survey team for brick and concrete possibilities proposed to visit in July; and, if not, the reason.

Mr. Walsh

Notice, which was necessarily short, was given to certain concerns who were known to be engaged in the production of field drain pipes, and whose premises it was possible for the team of consultants to reach on the routes of inspection in the time at their disposal. It would not have been feasible for the team to visit all the firms who might have an interest in the production of these articles.
