Vol. 127 No. 2

Questions— Written Answers. - Moy Drainage.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the grave discontent caused by his decision to await the implementation of the arterial drainage scheme on the Moy rather than to introduce a scheme for the removal of three obstructions under the land reclamation project; and, if so, if he will now reconsider his decision and, by the removal of the above-mentioned obstructions, come to the immediate relief of the owners flooded in this area.

As the Deputy has already been informed, the execution of piecemeal drainage works on the Moy is not practicable. There can, therefore, be no question of reconsidering the decision to which he refers.
