Vol. 128 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Valuation of County Cork Limekilns.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that a high rateable valuation has been placed on limekilns built under the burned lime subsidy scheme for county committees of agriculture, and if, in view of the discontinuance of this scheme, he will arrange to have the poor law valuation on these kilns revised.

I am not aware that the position is as suggested in the first part of the Deputy's question.

As regards the second part, I have no function in the matter of arranging for revisions of valuations. For the Deputy's information I might, perhaps, add that where a ratepayer is dissatisfied with the valuation of a limekiln he may send a request for revision to the Commissioner of Valuation through the secretary of the county council.
