Vol. 129 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Electricity Generating Stations.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the names of the generating stations which the Electricity Supply Board hope to complete within the next five or six years, the projected capacity of each station and the motive power.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report a statement giving the information asked for by the Deputy.

I have been and am still in consultation with the Electricity Supply Board about the acceleration and extension of their programme for increased generating capacity. It is my intention to make a statement on this matter on the Second Reading of the Electricity Supply (Amendment) Bill, which is at present before Dáil Éireann.
