Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Passports and Travel Permits.

asked the Taoiseach if he will give particulars as to the numbers of new (a) passports, and (b) travel identity permits issued to persons (i) seeking employment abroad, and (ii) going to reside abroad for each of the months of September, October, November, December and January last, giving comparative figures for the previous year.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the desired information.

Following is the statement:—

NUMBER of new (a) passports and (b) travel identity permits issued to persons seeking employment and going to permanent residence abroad for each of the months of September, October, November, December and January last with comparative figures for the previous year.
