Vol. 129 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Milk Prices.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, in view of the fact that the result of the Milk Costings Commission will not be available for 18 months or two years, he will arrange to have an equitable price fixed for milk in the interim period by an arbitration board.

Mr. Walsh

The period for the operation of the existing milk prices will expire on the 30th April, 1952, and the prices will, accordingly, fall to be reviewed by the Government before that date. In the circumstances I am not prepared to do as the Deputy suggests.
