Vol. 131 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick County Council—Sworn Inquiry.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that a petition by a resident of County Limerick was transmitted to the Limerick County Council, and if he is further aware that such petition alleged that evidence given at a sworn inquiry held into employment by such council in September, 1948, was prejudiced and grounded on malice and whether he has now had an opportunity of considering such allegations; and, if so, what steps he proposes to take in reference thereto.

Last December I had transmitted to the Limerick County Council for any action they might consider appropriate a copy of the petition referred to by the Deputy.

Will the Minister answer the question, which is, whether he proposes to take any action?
