asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether Dublin County Council have plans for the erection of labourers' cottages at the Hills, Balbriggan; and, if so, when these cottages will be built.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection of Labourers' Cottages.
A compulsory purchase order for the acquisition of a site at Darcystown, Balbriggan, for a scheme of six cottages to serve the Hills district was confirmed on the 20th ultimo. I understand that the council are also negotiating for the acquisition by agreement of sites for single cottages in the area. The preliminary steps to further progress are a matter for the county council and I am not, therefore, in a position to indicate when the cottages in question will be built.
